SVG Graphics
SVG (Scalable Vector Graphics)
SVG is a file format for 2D vector graphics. The description of an SVG graphic with paths, shapes and colors is made in XML format and can be read
and edited with any text editor. All graphics in Colibrico Design Studio are in SVG format and can be exported in SVG format or one of the offered
pixel formats (jpg, png, bmp, ico).
An SVG graphic can also contain pixel graphics. A shadow with a blur or a glow effect e.g. can only be integrated as pixel graphics. Therefore, if you
want to use pure SVG graphics, you should either avoid these effects or, for example, create a shadow effect with a transparent gradient.
To avoid pixel graphics in an SVG graphic, Colibrico Design Studio provides design elements for shadows, reflections, and shine effects created with
a transparent gradient. However, Colibrico Design Studio also offers the option to create a shadow or a glow effect with a blur. The graphic library in
Colibrico Design Studio contains only SVG graphics without "pixel effects".
SVG code optimization
For responsive websites, it is a good idea to optimize SVG graphics in order to reduce the file size and to reduce the loading time. There are various
online tools, such as SVGOMG von jakearchibald and programms such as the SVG Cleaner von Evgeniy Reizner. The file size is usually reduced by
more than 30% and some file sizes by more than 50%. Illustrator can not import and display every SVG image properly After optimization with SVG
Cleaner, however, some of these SVG graphics can also be displayed correctly in Illustrator.
Free SVG Graphics
As a small thank you for visiting our website, we offer you some free SVG graphics.
For your multi-lingual website or for the statistics of a football championship, you may still need nice country symbols.
The graphics may be used free of charge for private and commercial purposes (see creative commons license).
